I’m a big fan of Steven Rinella’s show MeatEater. I like that it’s not a typical hunting show, and that they take a storytelling approach to conveying the hunt.
It’s appropriate that hunting and storytelling should go together. Our primate ancestors did those two things quite a lot, and usually in that very order.
It struck me that in the world of YouTube, nobody had yet done a hunting show within “theHunter: Call of the Wild”. And so, my weekly hunting show, “Playing Tag”, was born.
Another real-world hunting activity was also conspicuous by it’s absence on YouTube.
In the real world, outfitters show clients to big game, and help remove the potentially difficult work of getting to that final moment of a hunt. Once again, a void needed filling, and so “Rare Gem Outfitters” was born.
So often, players of “theHunter: Call of the Wild” flock to their favourite content creators asking how best to find rare or big trophy animals.
Some play for years, still searching for that special mount for their lodge.
As a way of giving back to our communities, a handful of content creators have assembled to join me in tracking and documenting our rare and diamond level trophy animals from our personal reserves, to then guide players to harvesting them for themselves.
Look around, and pick out some favourite tags. Maybe you’ll be the lucky winner to join one of us on a guided hunt for a trophy you’ve been seeking for quite some time.
Good luck!
